Kali has developed her artistic voice through traditional art education, taking courses and classes, but gained most of her knowledge studying from her family. The daughter and niece of lifelong fine artists, Kali has been creating art and learning the craft as long as she can remember. While tattooing is a relatively new medium for her, Kali's background made for a seamless tradition to tattooing. You can see these inspirations in her work.

SOFT + BOLD

Neotraditional tattooing and classical painting are similar in many ways: design, color palettes, flow, but differ in the way they're applied. Kali blends these styles effortlessly. Her hints of realism are soft and expressive, but her technical application of bold lines and solid color creates pieces built to last.

EXPRESSIVE ART

In age of so many incredible tattoo artists, many forget the point of art: to make the viewer feel something. Kali does not. The emotions her pieces create, whether she's going for whimsy, fierceness, or sorrow, are powerful. Even without faces, Kali creates moods in her pieces with her ornate framing and muted color palettes. Her art is mature, strong, and impactful.
